The tragedy of it all is this: you know that you have within you the intelligence, the earnestness, and the ability that can take you right to the top.

What is wrong?

What’s holding you back?

I’ll tell you what is holding you back! The simple, scientific fact. that you are only using one-tenth of your real brain-power!

Unleash the power within your own mind.

What is Pelmanism?

This is a course that was offered by the John Pelman Institute almost a century ago.  The course is a series of exercises that expand and sharpen your memory, your mind, your eyesight, your hearing — indeed all your senses. Originally these exercises were presented in twelve booklets with exercises that you can carry out every day that help you develop your mental powers.

“Few persons realize that a thoroughly trained and efficient mind is the only universal asset in the world. Even money cannot compete with it, and is powerless without it. Every country, every trade, every profession is eager to welcome and employ it. It is the open sesame to the best society; it is the key to success in life.” Pelmanism, Lesson 1.

The lessons:

Lesson 1 – The First Principles

Lesson 2 – Purpose: What is Your Aim?

Lesson 3 – Knowledge and the Senses

Lesson 4 – Will and Effort

Lesson 5 – Concentration

Lesson 8 – The Pursuit of Truth

Lesson 9 – On Personality

Lesson 10 – Books and Reading: How to Organize your Mental Life

Thank you so much, Joanne! I only read the first one and knew I had to download the lot. Public domain or not, thanks for going to the trouble of making it available in a convenient format.
